History

Founded in 2007

Bodega Atamisque sits in the San José district of Tupungato, on Provincial Route 86 in the Uco Valley, with estate vineyards at around 1,300 metres above sea level. The winery, designed by the Bormida & Yanzón studio, is known for its stone-slab roof and works by gravity rather than pumps; its first harvest was in March 2007. It produces three ranges: Serbal (young, fruit-driven wines), Catalpa (premium) and Atamisque (icon), from malbec, cabernet franc, cabernet sauvignon, petit verdot, chardonnay and viognier. Tours last about 45 minutes, run Monday to Saturday by prior reservation at three set times (9.30, 12.00 and 15.30), and can be combined with a tasting of all three ranges in the tasting room. The same estate houses the Rincón Atamisque restaurant, the Lodges and a 9-hole golf course.
