Bodega Familia Cecchin is a family-run organic winery in Russell, Maipú, founded by Italian immigrants from the Veneto region who arrived in Mendoza in 1908 and formally established the winery in 1959. The family has farmed without agrochemicals since the beginning, and in 2000 certified its 78 hectares and winemaking process as organic through OIA, alongside vegan certification. Cecchin produces organic and natural wines, some without added sulfites, from varietals including Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, Bonarda, Carignan and Moscatel de Alejandría. Visits include bilingual guided tours of the vineyard and cellar, tastings of organic wines, and pairings of artisanal cheeses and jams, offered in small, intimate groups that require advance reservation.
