History

Founded in 1890

Finca La Celia is the pioneering winery of the Uco Valley, founded in 1890 in Eugenio Bustos, San Carlos, and recognized as the first estate to plant Malbec in the region. It is now part of the Chilean wine group VSPT and farms 380 hectares at 980 to 1,100 meters above sea level, spread across three estate terroirs: Paraje Altamira, La Consulta, and Eugenio Bustos. Winemaker Andrea Ferreyra crafts the Heritage, Elite, Pioneer, Reserva, and Terruño lines, centered on Malbec, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, and Pinot Grigio. The property includes Posada La Celia, a restored 1931 manor house declared Argentine Wine Historical-Cultural Heritage in 2008, offering lodging, a restaurant, a wine shop, and vineyard activities for visitors touring the estate.
