TUPUNGATO
History
Founded in 2003
Andeluna is a mountain winery in Gualtallary, Tupungato, in the Uco Valley, farming its own vineyards at more than 1,300 metres above sea level on stony alluvial soils with limestone content. Founded in 2003 by the Reina Rutini family together with Ward Lay, it has been owned by the Barale family since 2013 and works around 80 hectares planted with Malbec, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and Torrontés. Visits are booked in advance and combine a guided tour of the winery and underground cellar with tastings such as La Montaña en una Copa, El Arte del Maridaje, the blending workshop El Juego del Blend, and a wine-and-chocolate workshop. The restaurant, led by chef Juan Pablo Miguez, serves paired tasting menus using produce from the winery's own organic garden, and late-afternoon Tardecitas are held in the gardens facing the Cordón del Plata.
