Founded in 1903
Bodega Iaccarini sits in the Las Paredes district of San Rafael, roughly 230 km south of Mendoza city. Founded in 1903 by Neapolitan immigrant Pascual Iaccarini, the winery stood closed for decades until the Méndez Collado family restored and modernized it starting in 2009, preserving the original underground cellar. It produces export-focused wines built on malbec, bonarda and cabernet sauvignon under the Vía Blanca and Cavas Don Nicasio lines, sold in more than 16 countries. Visits center on a vineyard walk paired with a tasting of the house wines, with premium add-ons such as smoked charcuterie in the 1903 cellar, horseback rides and bike tours through the rows. The property also runs a restaurant, a wine bar, vineyard-view lodges for overnight stays, and space for private events, making it a worthwhile half-day stop or an overnight base on the San Rafael wine route.
