Founded in 1897
Founded in 1897 in Mayor Drummond, Luján de Cuyo, Bodega Lagarde is one of Mendoza's oldest working wineries. The Pescarmona family bought it in 1969 and it is now run by third-generation sisters Sofía and Lucila. The estate farms 218 hectares of its own vineyards across Mayor Drummond (850 m), Perdriel and Agrelo in Luján de Cuyo, and Gualtallary in the Uco Valley, with certified organic viticulture. Wine lines include Henry, Guarda, Primeras Viñas, Lagarde Organic and traditional-method sparklings; the core varieties are Malbec, Cabernet Franc, Chardonnay, Semillón and Viognier. A visit pairs a guided walk through the historic cellar and vineyards with themed tastings — Haciendo Historia, Selección Fincas and Winemaker's Choice — plus two Michelin-recognised restaurants, Zonda and Fogón. Booking is online and required.
