Founded in 1946

Algodón Wine Estates is a 4,138-acre luxury resort in the Cuadro Benegas district of San Rafael, roughly 230 km south of Mendoza city. Its boutique winery, Bodega Algodón, produces limited-production wines from 325 acres of vineyards dating to 1946, planted at 800 meters above sea level and fed by Andean glacial meltwater. Winemaker Mauro Nosenzo, advised by Master of Wine Anthony Foster, focuses on Malbec and red blends (Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, Bonarda, Pinot Noir). The property combines a hotel with suites and villas, the Chez Gaston restaurant serving traditional Argentine cuisine, a 9-hole golf course, tennis courts and event spaces, plus a direct-to-consumer online wine shop. Winery tours are group-only and require advance reservation; tastings are held at the restaurant or winery, with pricing available on request.
