History

Founded in 2004

Cruzat, in Perdriel, Luján de Cuyo, is devoted exclusively to sparkling wine made by the traditional method, with second fermentation in the bottle. It was founded in 2004 by a group of Chilean businessmen together with Argentine agronomist and winemaker Pedro Federico Rosell. The 14.2-hectare estate is planted with Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, trellised and drip-irrigated since 2006, at between 950 and 1,000 metres above sea level. The range covers the Premier and Cuvée lines, the Millésime and Single Vineyard icons, and special editions such as Naranjo, Pet Nat and Ice. The classic visit lasts an hour and a half, taking in the vineyard, the tank room and the underground cellars, and closes with a welcome glass and a tasting of three sparkling wines from the Premier and Cuvée lines. Open Monday to Saturday by prior reservation; closed Sundays.
