History

Founded in 2003

CarinaE Viñedos & Bodega is a boutique winery in Cruz de Piedra, Maipú, in Mendoza's historic first winegrowing zone. It was founded in 2003 by French couple Brigitte and Philippe Subra, who had settled in Mendoza in 1998; ownership passed to an Argentine couple in 2020. The estate farms roughly 20 hectares across Cruz de Piedra and Perdriel (Luján de Cuyo), including Malbec vines up to 90 years old. Its name references the southern Carina constellation, visible during the harvest season. CarinaE produces Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah reds, a Torrontés white, and the sweet Passito de los Andes. Guided tours and tastings are offered by advance reservation, arranged through WhatsApp.
