History
Founded in 1998
Bodega Ruca Malen sits on National Route 7 in Agrelo, Luján de Cuyo, Mendoza's historic winegrowing district. It was founded in 1998 by Jean Pierre Thibaud and Jacques Louis de Montalembert and has been certified organic since 2020. Agustina Hanna has led the winemaking team since late 2020 and rebuilt the portfolio into four ranges called Capítulos, covering Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, Pinot Noir, Garnacha and Chardonnay. A visit pairs a walk through vineyard and cellar with a guided tasting: the shortest option is a tour plus a glass of wine, the fullest is the tasting in chapters. The RM restaurant serves three- and six-course pairing menus facing the Andes. Every experience must be booked in advance.
