History

Founded in 2004

Lamadrid Estate Wines is a boutique family winery in Agrelo, Luján de Cuyo, founded in 2004 by Guillermo García Lamadrid in tribute to his mother Matilde. The estate spans three vineyards: La Matilde (planted 1929, 100% Malbec), Lamadrid (1963 and 1999) and La Suiza (1993-1998), guided by the philosophy that "wine is made in the vineyard." It produces Clásico, Reserva, Gran Reserva, Matilde and Zunzun lines, built mainly on Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Bonarda. The winery welcomes visitors daily from 9:00 to 17:30 with bookable experiences such as blending sessions, aroma tastings, harvest activities and garden picnics, arranged by WhatsApp or email. The on-site Los Bocheros restaurant serves guests, and the estate runs its own online wine shop plus lodging by reservation.
