History

Founded in 1936

Finca Cuadro Benegas is a family-run winery in the Cuadro Benegas district, about 15 minutes from downtown San Rafael and roughly 230 km south of Mendoza city — a distinct trip worth planning around. Founded in 1936 by Salvador Paolucci and originally run as Paolucci e Hijos, the estate was relaunched in 2012 by a local entrepreneur under the name Finca Cuadro Benegas, honoring the district named after the historic Tiburcio Benegas. The winery produces malbec plus white and rosé blends under its Coliseo and Reflejo de mi Tierra lines, alongside a Reserva aged in French and American oak. Visits include a guided tour of the production facility, which holds 1.2 million liters of capacity, a tasting of wines and sparkling wines at the site of production, and a vineyard sunset experience with a paired menu. Booking ahead by WhatsApp is recommended.
