History
Founded in 2007
Bodega A16 is a boutique winery founded in 2007 by Mendoza entrepreneur Gerardo Cartellone on the Papa Francisco estate in Perdriel, Luján de Cuyo. The name combines the letter "A" -evoking love, harmony and height- with the number 16, a reference to the founder's sixteenth business venture. Open to tourism since 2015, the winery follows organic practices, drip irrigation and holds an annual vegan certification. Its portfolio spans five lines -Apogeo, Auge, Protector, Civit 757 and Punto Ar- built around malbec, alongside cabernet sauvignon, cabernet franc, petit verdot, sauvignon blanc, chardonnay, semillón and torrontés. Visitors can tour the vineyard and cellar, join themed tastings, dine at the A16 Civit restaurant, and attend sunset events with a food truck and live DJ.
