History

Founded in 2005

Penedo Borges Bodega Boutique, formerly known as Bodega Otaviano, sits in Alto Agrelo, Luján de Cuyo, at 1,050 meters above sea level at the foot of the Andes. Founded in 2005 by a group of Argentine and Brazilian friends led by Euclides Penedo Borges, the winery relaunched its brand and image in 2021 after nearly two decades of history. Its single 48-hectare vineyard, on alluvial loamy-silt soil, grows Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, Syrah, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc, bottled under the Cepas, Selección de Parcelas, Prisma and Icono lines. Visitors walk the vineyard rows, tour the winery and taste the wines on guided experiences lasting about 1:30 hours, offered Thursday through Sunday by advance reservation, along with paired tasting menus and private events overlooking the mountains.
