Founded in 1943
Bodega Carelli, legally Bodegas y Viñedos Santos J. Carelli S.A., is a family winery founded in 1943 by Santos J. Carelli in the La Reducción area of Rivadavia, East Mendoza, at 750 meters above sea level. It is now run by the fourth generation of the family, led by Enrique J. Carelli. Its vineyards, spread across five estates in the departments of Rivadavia, San Martín and Junín, grow varieties including malbec, cabernet sauvignon, cabernet franc, merlot, syrah, chardonnay, sauvignon blanc, torrontés and viognier, bottled under the 34, Madero, Carla, Ángel Reserva and Carelli Gran Reserva lines. The winery only receives visitors by prior reservation, arranged through its contact form or WhatsApp; its official website does not publish visiting hours, tasting prices, or a detailed tour itinerary, so confirming availability before traveling is advisable.
