History

Founded in 2003

Belasco de Baquedano is a family-owned winery with roots in the Kingdom of Navarre, Spain, which in 2003 acquired a century-old vineyard (planted between 1910 and 1938) in Alto Agrelo, Luján de Cuyo, at 1,020 meters above sea level. Built partly underground and inspired by a 14th-century Navarrese castle, the winery crafts premium wines from Malbec, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot grown across 65 estate hectares, including flagship labels Swinto, AR Guentota and Antracita. Guided visits cover the winery and the Aroma Room, the largest of its kind in the world, paired with tastings of three or five wines and an optional cold-cuts platter. On the second floor, a glass-walled restaurant with panoramic Andes views serves lunch by reservation, and the estate also hosts private events such as weddings.
