History
Founded in 1997
Bodega Bournett was founded in 1997 as a family venture in Cuadro Nacional, San Rafael, about 230 km south of Mendoza city. The name honors the family's French ancestors, who were quality winemakers, and the project aims to revive that French style across two estates, "Dijon" and "Fundadora," where the dry climate, permeable soil and wide temperature swings suit varietals such as malbec, cabernet sauvignon, cabernet franc, merlot, pinot noir and chardonnay. Bournett is known locally for its "Sala de Aromas" (Aroma Room), described as the only one in southern Mendoza, built to deepen the sensory side of tasting. The visitor experience includes a guided walk through vineyard and cellar with a tasting; because the official website now functions mainly as an online wine shop, it is best to confirm a visit in advance by WhatsApp.
