History

Founded in 2011

SuperUco is a family project born in 2011, led by the four Michelini brothers —Gerardo, Matías, Gabriel and Juan Pablo— together with their friend Daniel Sammartino, in Los Chacayes, Tunuyán, in the Uco Valley. The octagonal winery sits at the center of a two-hectare estate planted in concentric circles under biodynamic management, without agrochemicals or added sulfites, fermented with native yeasts. Estate vineyards in Los Chacayes, Gualtallary and Paraje Altamira, between 1,150 and 1,400 meters above sea level, supply three wine lines —Calcáreo, SuperUco and Genitori— built mainly around malbec and cabernet franc, alongside cabernet sauvignon, merlot and petit verdot. A visit includes guided walks through the vineyard, the organic garden and the winery, with a choice of four tasting programs, plus a sunset dining experience served Wednesday through Saturday. In 2021 the winery won the International Gold for Sustainable Practices at the Best of Wine Tourism awards.
